Mitsubishi Magna

The Mitsubishi Magna was a mid-size car offered between May 1985 and September 2005 by Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL). Manufactured at the Tonsley Park assembly plant, Magna spanned three generations before being replaced by the Mitsubishi 380.

The TE and TW are third generation Magna's, The entry model for the TE range was the Executive, with features including: power steering, four-speaker sound system, power mirrors, remote boot and fuel filler release, central locking and an engine immobiliser. The Altera model added: air-conditioning, power windows and cruise control. Options included: airbags for driver and passenger, ABS, a CD player and alloy wheels. The Advance (safety-package) and the Altera LS (luxury-package) model included: ABS, airbags, CD and alloy wheels.

A minor facelift, dubbed the TW series, was launched in late 2004 and can be differentiated by 'Series II' badging and colour-coded headlight surrounds (as first featured on the limited edition TL Magna VR/VR-X "Ralliart"). This was to be the last ever Magna (a similar fate awaited the KW Verada).
